Start Training
To start playing after you started the game, go east of Lumbridge to a house with a lot of goblins. These goblins are easy to kill, and along with combat xp, you also get fairly good items a beginner player can use and also get a small amount of coins. To get more combat and cooking xp and some food, follow the path north to the cow pen. Each cow drops raw meat and bones. The meat you can use to increase your cooking level by cooking it on a fire, and you can bury the bones for a higher prayer level.
For more experienced players
If you can defeat level 28 hill giants, this is the best way to become rich, get necessary items such as law runes and weapons, and level up rapidly. You will first need to acquire a brass key on the grand exchange (128 gp)
then go west until you reach a cabin. The key will unlock the cabin, and you will find level 28 hill giants down the ladder. The items to watch out for are the law runes(teleporting), big bones(worth 650 gp), and Limwurt roots(worth 1,400 gp). This strategy will level you up quickly and get you great items in the process.
